Falcon.cn
Designed and developed in 2002: a support site and community for MicroProse’s Falcon 4.0, the hardcore F-16 combat sim. After meeting Fox, Helios, BlueBlood and others online, we started the CN101TF “Griffin Squadron” virtual squadron, and the site became its home base.
“Designed and developed - ‘FalconCN.com’ in 2002. The sophisticate jet combat simulator: Micro Prose Falcon 4.0’s support site and community. Developed and coded Content management system (ASP Access) for the website, as well as Virtual squadron management system which features member register and management, flight reporting and auto scoring functions.” — my Behance intro for the project
The site
A homebrew ASP + Access CMS with graphic design done in Photoshop. The homepage (captured 2003-07-19, titled “FalconCN | CN101TF Griffin Squadron”) navigated: Home Base, News, Bulletin Board, Topics, Downloads, WebLinks, CN101TF Griffin Squadron, Roster, Join our squadron.
Front-page articles included the FreeFalcon 1.0a release, 《Art of the kill 猎杀艺术》 (translated into Chinese by teammate Eagal566), an ECV56 Condor “Rescap” video, and a Falcon 4.0 quick-start guide. The counter read 55 articles and 79 downloads. Article sections covered 游戏新闻, 飞行学校 (quick-start guides for new players), 战术讨论, and an F-16资料库; downloads included real F-16 manuals, training programs (RCS-RWR, TWS and Bullseye trainers), and tools like Tacedit 2.1, F4Weather 1.1 and the ProAttack weapon delivery calculator.
The footer: “Falcon4 Chinese Support Center | CN101TF Griffin Squadron — Copyright 2002 FalconCN.com — Designed by Werther-041”.
The squadron system
The member area ran on the Squadron Member Register System (SMRS) v1.0 alpha:
“Squadron Member Register System (SMRS) v1.0 alpha — Programed by Werther 041” — footer of the member roster page, captured 2003-08-01
It offered member registration and management, login, roster, 飞行任务报告 (flight reports), 分数板 (score board), and 队员审核 (member verification). The roster held 64 members; my own entry is callsign “werther”, serial CN101-041, registered 2003-04-28. The homepage member roll names BlueBlood, Fox, Helios, Tom528 and Werther. The BBS (“FalconCN.com BBS”) ran forums including a Falcon 4.0 discussion board with 335 topics and 1,807 replies (captured 2003-07-11). The squadron coordinated over a TeamSpeak channel and MSN Messenger / MSN Groups.
Domains
www.falconcn.com and www.cn101tf.com. Captures of cn101tf.com from
2004–2007 show the same ASP CMS — the squadron era. Later captures are an
unrelated “Buy WoW Gold” site: the domain changed hands and is not part of
this recovery.

What didn’t survive
Flight-report and score-board contents were never captured (the nav proves
they existed; only the roster list page was archived). BBS threads beyond the
forum index, and the member edit/verify flows, are also missing.
